Harini, born on April 30, 1979, in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, has established a significant presence in the Indian music scene as a film playback and classical singer. She sings in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, and Kannada films, working alongside many prominent composers. Harini’s musical journey began at the age of four, learning Carnatic music. Her debut song “Nila Kaigirathu” from the film Indira marked the beginning of a fruitful career. She has since sung over 3500 songs in South Indian languages, including hits like “Telephone Manipol” from Indian, “Soniya Soniya” from Ratchagan, and “Moongil Thottam” from Kadal. Harini’s exceptional talent has earned her numerous accolades, including the Tamil Nadu State Film Award for Best Female Playback for “Nila Kaigirathu” and “Manam Virumbuthey”.
